Lions Clubs Sausage Sizzle for Organ Donation Week

In their first event after recharging their club, the Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown, with the support of the Lions Club of Parramatta and other Lions Clubs conducted their first very successful event. The event, which took place at Campbeltown Hospital and in collaboration with the Cancer Therapy Centre, was in support of the very noble cause of organ donation.

During the event, a number of Lions prepared the famous Lions sausage sizzle and distributed sandwiches to hundreds of hospital staff, patients, and guests for free, courtesy of Campbeltown Hospital. The event provided a very welcome break for doctors, nurses, and hospital admin staff, in addition to offering a chance to the organ donation committee at the hospital to raise awareness about the importance and profound impact of saving lives by donating organs.

Oz Arab Media was also on the ground during the event and interviewed many Lions and other members of the public. You can watch the video on our Youtube channel.

All in all, the event was a very successful and positive event through which the Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown proved their worth as Lions.
