Yesterday, the Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown had the pleasure of supporting two remarkable organisations with donations that reflect our community’s spirit of generosity and global citizenship. We proudly handed over a donation of $4,000 to the Shepherd of Egypt, an organisation dedicated to uplifting disadvantaged communities in Egypt. Additionally, we presented a $1,000 donation to the Lions Club of North Lebanon Star, an affiliate of Lions Clubs International, which is committed to supporting local communities in Lebanon.
These donations were made possible through the collective efforts of our members and the generosity of the attendees at the Oz Arab Media gala dinner held on May 17, 2024. During the event, our club members worked tirelessly, engaging the community through fundraising activities like selling raffles and auctioning unique items. The success of this fundraising effort is a testament to the compassion and solidarity of our supporters, who came together to make a difference.
